Sirhan was convicted in April 1969 of first-degree murder and assault for the June 5, 1968, assassination of the 42-year-old Kennedy in Los AngelesSirhan Sirhan, the man convicted of assassinating Sen. Robert F. Kennedy in 1968 at Los Angeles' Ambassador Hotel, was denied Friday in his latest bid for parole.
Sirhan was last denied parole in March 2023 for three years, with an administrative review of the denial resulting in his hearing date being advanced, according to the CDCR. The governor wrote that"the most glaring evidence of Mr. Sirhan's deficient insight is his shifting narrative about his assassination of Senator Kennedy, and his current refusal to accept responsibility for his crimes."
