In a separate tweet, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Kennedy Jr.'s friend, shared a message he received regarding the cancellation of the event by the New York Society for Ethical Culture. "Due to the short notice on which this rental was presented to us, our leadership only now realizes that the program you are planning to present is inconsistent with the kind of programming that we support and promote and is inconsistent with many of the values we represent," the message said.
