Padres pitching prospect Robby Snelling turns in second straight quality start for San Antonio Missions
Robby Snelling is beginning to build momentum. The 20-year-old left-hander struck out a season-high seven batters for Double-A San Antonio, which beat visiting Corpus Christi 3-2 in 10 innings on Friday. Snelling scattered two hits, did not give up a walk and allowed one run over six innings. It was his second straight quality start, lowering his ERA to 3.44 through his first seven starts of the season. He has struck out 30, walked 14 and allowed a .245 opponent average.
