Robbie Lawler ended his career in the best way possible at UFC 290
The 41-year-old brutally knocked out Niko Price in the opening moments of their highly-anticipated fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.Lawler needed just 38 seconds to finish his final MMA fight.
‘Ruthless’ caught his opponent in a clinch position early and unleashed a series of short punches that ultimately left Price slumped on the canvas. Referee Marc Goddard rushed in to stop 'Hybrid' from taking any unnecessary shots, but Lawler had already started to walk away with his hands in the air to celebrate.
The former welterweight champion was a popular winner in Las Vegas and his first first-round stoppage win in ten years was greeted with the biggest cheer of the night.
