SEREMBAN: A gang of four armed men believed to have robbed three homes in about 90 minutes on Monday (Feb 27) morning are on the prowl and the public has been advised to stay vigilant.
Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Nanda Ma'arof said the men armed with machetes first struck at a home in Rantau around 6.30am and then went on to rob two other homes here and in Mambau.
"The suspects, who wore masks, jumped over the perimeter wall and entered the houses as the front doors were open.He said the suspects ransacked the homes and escaped with a Toyota Vios, jewellery and an undisclosed amount of cash. ACP Nanda said police have opened three investigation papers and those with information on the suspects can call Insp Zafira Mohd Yusop at 013-238 6281.
The cases were being investigated under Section 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for gang and armed robbery. "The police would also like to advise the public to exercise caution, make sure your houses are properly secured at all times so that you are not exposed to unnecessary risks," he added.
