Rob Anderson's debut comedy special 'Are You Afraid of the '90s?' is set to premiere on YouTube on June 3rd.
‘Rick And Morty’ Movie In Early Development At Warner Bros. ; Jacob Hair In Talks To DirectKnown online as the “King of Nostalgia,” Anderson has built a cult following through his celebrating and roasting of the most chaotic retro pop culture moments with throwback deep dives.
Now, he brings that nostalgia-fueled humor to the screen with a one-man musical comedy special blending stand-up, original songs and theatrical storytelling. Taped during a sold-out show at Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre, the special revisits the movies, television and pop culture moments that shaped a generation — from teenage pregnancy and drug addiction to racism, age gaps, diseases and more.
Anderson worked on original songs for the special with Emmy nominee Jason Mater and Grammy nominee Zack Djurich, who served as music producers, along with his regular songwriting partners Samantha Creighton and Will Jay. — his live coverage of the 2025 Papal Conclave, presented in the style of a reality show — and has brought his live comedy to over 50 cities worldwide. He is represented by UTA.
