RM935 juta diperuntukkan ganti 1,000km paip lama di Johor

Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Kerja Raya, Pengangkutan dan Infrastruktur negeri Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh berkata kerja-kerja penggantian paip lama itu dimulakan sejak tahun lepas dan dijangka siap sepenuhnya hujung tahun ini. “Ini antara hala tuju kerajaan negeri untuk memastikan paip lama terutamanya di bawah tanah diganti dengan baharu supaya tiada air terbazir akibat paip pecah dan bocor,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas membuat lawatan kerja penggantian paip di Jalan Tan Hiok Nee di Johor Bahru hari ini.
Menurutnya paip lama tersebut perlu diganti segera berikutan pihak Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd menerima 6,000 hingga 7,000 aduan berhubung kejadian paip bocor setiap bulan.
