IT costs around RM870 per day to treat late-stage Covid-19 patients, the Health Ministry said in a written reply in Parliament today. The figure is the median cost for patients in stage 4 and 5, which is when patients are suffering breathing difficulties and require oxygen, and intubation in the case of stage 5.
