Menteri Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat Nancy Shukri berkata pihaknya turut menambah petugas dari beberapa negeri lain ke negeri yang terjejas banjir, terutama Johor yang paling teruk di landa banjir ketika ini.– Gambar fail The Malaysian Insight, 5 Mac, 2023.

“Kita masih dalam proses hantar makanan dan telah belanja RM615,000 untuk stok makanan, namun ia masih tidak mencukupi kerana di Johor sahaja 40,000 lebih yang terjejas, kita juga menerima bantuan daripada Yayasan Kebajikan Negara iaitu sumbangan RM50,000. Sehingga pagi tadi, Bernama melaporkan keadaan banjir di beberapa negeri semakin membimbangkan dengan jumlah mangsa yang ditempatkan di pusat pemindahan sementara di seluruh negara meningkat kepada 48,989 orang setakat pagi ini.

“Kami akan terus bantu memberi bantuan, bukan sahaja makanan, malah turut memberikan kaunseling dan membantu menghiburkan kanak-kanak, serta bermain dengan mereka supaya tidak bosan di PPS,” katanya.
