KOTA TINGGI: The government has disbursed RM10mil for the purchase of essential items for the victims of what has been declared the worst floods in Johor in recent years.
The disaster management funds have been given to the National Disaster Management Agency , which will be managing the allocations.
“The floods is among the worst Johor has seen in recent years,” the Deputy Prime Minister told reporters after visiting victims at the SJKC New Kota temporary flood relief centre here. He said immediate work to improve the drainage system at Kota Mas and Kota Tinggi town are needed and RM7.6mil would be set aside for this.
