The Rizal provincial government launched this February a cooking competition aimed at promoting healthy foods to the public and increasing their awareness about the benefits of sustainable farming and community gardens.
According to Rizal Governor Nina Ynares, the Pick’n Cook! Cooking Competition is a cook-off between residents of the province where their main ingredients will be different fruits and vegetables, including produce coming from Rizal’s community gardens.
The governor added that with the cooking competition, the LGU plans to further increase Rizaleños’ awareness about its positive impacts and sustainability.The other legs of the competition are as follows:-3 p.m at Brgy. It was institutionalized under Sangguninang Panlalawigan Ordinance No. 11, Series 2015 and has six major components consisting of cleaning, greening, recycling, tourism, environment and natural resources, and disaster risk reduction and management.
