The premiere date for Riverdale season 7 has been revealed as well as a synopsis for the final season. After running for seven seasons, Riverdale is set to conclude the popular Archie Comics-based drama on The CW this year. After being picked up for another season, The CW revealed later in 2022 that Riverdale season 7 would be the last one. This was a decision a lot of cast members had been predicting throughout previous interviews, with several contracts expiring this year.

The network announced that Riverdale season 7 would premiere on Wednesday, March 29, at 9 PM ET. The season premiere will launch right after a new episode of The Flash season 9. Without revealing how many episodes for the final season, The CW confirmed that the Riverdale series finale would air on Wednesday, August 23.
"The seventh season of RIVERDALE goes where no season of RIVERDALE has dared to go before—the 1950s! Picking up where last season ended, Jughead Jones finds himself trapped in the 1950s. He has no idea how he got there, nor how to get back to the present. The Flash season 9 is currently working on episode 9, which will see the return of several Arrowverse fan favorites. While The CW didn't confirm The Flash's series finale date, it appears the show will finish at some point in May. The network also announced that Nancy Drew season 4 would premiere on Wednesday, May 24, at 8 PM ET, meaning The Flash will likely have finished by that point. It was confirmed in October 2022 that Nancy Drew season 4 would be the show's final one.
As of right now, no trailer for Riverdale season 7 has been released, but it will likely debut sometime in February. As far as the first trailer for Nancy Drew season 4 goes, it will probably come out sometime in April, if not sooner. With The Flash, Riverdale, and Nancy Drew coming to an end, it's definitely the end of several eras for The CW.
