🚨FLIP🚨 Texas wins out for four-star safety Warren Roberson RivalsNick breaks down the commitment and what it means for the Longhorns:
Committed to TCU since Halloween in a surprise decision over the Trojans, Roberson saw a big late push from multiple programs amid a big senior season. Included in that group was Texas who offered in early September and was able to get southern DFW product on campus for an official visit tin late January.
The visit to Austin was preceded by a return trip to USC as the Trojans remained in the thick of it all the way through the whistle. However, Roberson will join Texas’ top-three class as its fourth defensive back. Roberson, who was a three-phase player for Red Oak during his high school career, is a versatile defensive back that can move around at safety, nickel and corner based on where he is needed on the field. His highest ceiling is most likely at safety where he excels in zone coverage and can cover a large range of the field.
The commitment from Roberson serves as Texas’ seventh flip pledge in the 2023 cycle and the second from TCU, as Roberson joins Melissa offensive tackleAt 6-foot, 180 pounds, Roberson is the No. 25 safety recruit in the country and the No. 57 recruit from the state of Texas.
