The PM apologised for being late due to a D-Day even which 'ran over'.
Rishi Sunak says he had to ‘go without’ Sky TV as a child so his parents could pay his expensive private school fees Rishi Sunak says he knows what it’s like to have to struggle- because he wasn’t allowed Sky TV growing up. In an excruciating interview set to air tonight on ITV, the PM laughed awkwardly as he attempted to relate to the everyday struggles of ordinary people.
But when pressed to give an example, Rishi responded: ‘All sorts of things like lots of people. There’ll be all sorts of things that I would’ve wanted as a kid that I couldn’t have.’ He added: ‘Famously, Sky TV, so that was something that we never had growing up actually.’ Sunak went to one of the country’s most expensive boarding schools, and he and his wife are the richest political leaders in UK history with a combined wealth of £651 million- more than the King.
