SANParks has confirmed the tragic drowning of a contractor at the staff residential swimming pool in Skukuza inside the Kruger National Park.

The Managing Executive of the Kruger National Park, Oscar Mthimkhulu, extended his condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased saying “this is an unfortunate incident, the resident doctor and other first responders were notified and tried all they could to save his life but were unsuccessful. On behalf of the organisation, we extend our sincere condolences to family, colleagues and friends and wish them strength during this difficult period.
