Riot Games is not done modernizing their champions just yet. After refreshing Ahri’s look and revamping Aurelion Sol, here’s what they have in store.
Neeko will be the next one to receive an overhaul. The change will be buying more into her identity as a “deceiver” with the use of her passive. Instead of transforming to ally champions, she will now be given the ability to transform into an assortment of entities like the Blast Cone, a minion, or even a Teemo shroom!Yuumi will also be receiving a big overhaul, as the dev team previously talked about.
She will still be a champion designed to help introduce and onboard players onto League of Legends, but her future kit will be less exploitable and will most likely have a lower skill ceiling than she does right now.Rell is also slated for a midscope update sometime in the future. While no new details about the Rell rework have been disclosed just yet, we can expect the magnetic support to attract more attention once more particulars are revealed.
In the longterm, the League of Legends dev team are looking to release one midscope update per two months. Once this pace has been settled, players can also look forward to a “midscope roadmap” that will give which champions are receiving the updates, and when.
