Ringgit rendah berbanding dolar AS susulan kebimbangan wabak Covid-19

Rizab Persekutuan AS mengumumkan akan menyuntik lebih AS$1 trilion ke dalam sistem kewangan susulan kelembapan ekonomi ekoran penularan Covid-19.

Pada 9.20 pagi, mata wang tempatan susut kepada 4.2800/2850 berbanding dolar AS daripada 4.2590/2650 ketika ditutup semalam. “Fed berkata ia akan menawarkan pinjaman tunai jangka pendek tambahan bernilai lebih AS$1 trilion kepada bank-bank sebagai antara usaha untuk melancarkan operasi dalam Perbendaharaan dan pasaran wang.

“Fed juga berkata ia akan memperluas pembelian bulanan bernilai AS$60 bilion ke atas sekuriti Perbendaharaan dengan pelbagai julat tempoh matang daripada hanya Bil Perbendaharaan jangka pendek,” katanya.
