Beliau berkata, walaupun berita mengenai rancangan lawatan Setiausaha Negara AS ke China dalam beberapa minggu akan datang akan meredakan ketegangan antara kedua-dua kuasa besar ekonomi itu, kelembapan ekonomi China menunjukkan pandangan berhati-hati terhadap prospek ekonomi global tahun ini. “Secara ringkasnya, peserta pasaran berhati-hati mengenai prospek pertumbuhan global kerana bank pusat utama nampaknya tidak akan berputus asa dalam usaha mereka untuk menurunkan inflasi melalui pengetatan monetari,” katanya.
