Police believe the ATV might have rolled over the driver after he was thrown from the bike.
AKRON, Ohio — A 39-year-old man was thrown “several feet” after he drove his ATV through a stop sign in the Kenmore neighborhood and crashed into a car, police say.
Police say the crash occurred at about 11:40 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Eighth Street Southwest. The ATV driver reportedly was heading east on Florida Avenue when he went through a stop sign and crashed into a northbound Subaru.The ATV driver was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center but no information was available on his condition.
The 58-year-old male driver of the Subaru wasn’t injured. The crash remains under investigation, and charges and citations are pending.
