The electric-moped-sharing company Revel will relaunch in New York City on Thursday with new safety measures after suspending service in July following a surge in reckless-driving complaints and two rider deaths.
Customers will be required to complete a safety questionnaire and watch a how-to video before they can begin unlocking a moped. They will also be asked before each ride to send Revel a photograph of themselves and any passenger wearing a helmet.
