Ricky Hatton shares same prediction about boxing as Simon Jordan following Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk mess
Now, Hatton is concerned that boxing’s continued failure to make the big fights happen could lead to it being overtaken as the number one combat sport.
The British fight legend believes the UFC and YouTube boxing may pull fans away from the sport he loves in the very near future.“At the minute, it seems like there is no give, and if this fight or Tyson vs AJ or, Tyson-Usyk, AJ-Usyk, don’t happen then it is a terrible shame for our sport. “We’ve got YouTubers fighting boxers and we’ve got MMA [stars] fighting, this and everything like that. So, we are playing catch up to these farcical f***ing fights to be honest with you.
“You can’t get the Spence and Crawford fight on. Tyson and Usyk – we can’t get that on. You know what I mean? UFC and YouTubers and MMA, everyone is overtaking us [boxing].
