Per that site, Gere is vacationing near Nuevo Vallarta while celebrating the 40th birthday of his wife Alejandra Silva.
TMZ said Gere had a “bad cough” prior to the trip and it worsened after he arrived in the country until he went to the hospital. The site said he was given antibiotics, released the next day, and is “doing much better.” Alejandra did post on Instagram Saturday that the family was headed back to the beach and that Gere was doing better. He can be seen wearing a mask in the photo.
She said in her Thursday IG post that “after almost 3 weeks of everyone being sick in our family today finally I feel much better!
