Richard Branson surprises Edinburgh locals with Scottish-themed street celebration
Edinburgh locals were treated to a surprise appearance from entrepreneur Richard Branson who was in town for the grand opening of Virgin Hotels' new Victoria Street location.
It was Branson himself who pushed the button on the box, which saw dancers and bagpiper players appear to entertain the local crowd. More than 200 envelopes containing 500 to 150,000 Virgin Points were handed out. Those lucky enough to get their hands on them have the option to redeem the points for hundreds of rewards.
Virgin Hotels Edinburgh is situated in the landmark India Buildings in the Scottish capital’s Old Town, just a stone’s throw from Edinburgh Castle.
