Richard Blum, chairman emeritus of the University of California Board of Regents and husband of U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, has died from cancer. He was 86 years old.
Mr. Blum was also chairman of Blum Capital Partners, a San Francisco investment firm he founded in 1975.
He spent years advocating for the Himalayas and founded the American Himalayan Foundation. He was a personal friend of the Dalai Lama.
