Woolford, who returned in 2021 for a seventh year of college football at the Division I level, has a simple message to NFL franchises. Woolford, along with Owls Elijah Garcia, Naeem Smith, running back/receiver Jordan Myers and quarterback Jake Constantine went through a number of drills. First inside the Brian Patterson Sports Performance Center and concluding on the turf inside Rice Stadium.
“I crushed the numbers I wanted to,” said Woolford, who jumped 26 inches on the high vertical, and ran 5.4 seconds over 40 yards.Smith, who led the Owls and was second in C-USA with four interceptions in Rice’s 4-8 season, has felt under looked at times.
