Actor Ricardo Cepeda has spoken up about his arrest for alleged estafa.

"I was shocked because I didn't, I wasn't aware na umabot sa may warrants ako. I had heard na may mga scam daw but 'di ko alam na sinama nila ako," Cepeda said. Dondon Llapitan said Cepeda did not resist arrest."Nagulat rin po siya nung sinilbihan natin siya ng warrant of arrest. Nagko-conduct po siya ng ribbon-cutting sa area. Inaresto po natin siya nung bago palang po magkaroon ribbon cutting," Llapitan also said.
Cepeda said he is not connected with the company, adding that his name does not appear in the business registration. GMA News said that aside from the 23 counts of syndicated estafa, the actor has another warrant of arrest due to bouncing check and another three counts of violation of RA No. 8799, or Securities Regulation Code.
