Lapor portal Xinhua Daily, Kolej Kejururawatan Diraja berkata, jika kemajuan tidak dicapai dalam rundingan menjelang akhir bulan ini, bulan Februari akan menyaksikan mogok paling meluas setakat ini oleh kakitangan kejururawatan Perkhidmatan Kesihatan Nasional .

Setiausaha Agung RCN, Pat Cullen berkata, mogok ini dirancang dibuat di jalanan pada bulan Disember dan Januari.“Satu-satunya penyelesaian yang boleh dipercayai adalah untuk menangani puluhan ribu pekerjaan yang tidak diisi untuk penjagaan pesakit,” kata Cullen. Sementara itu, Ketua Eksekutif Interim NHS, Saffron Cordery berkata, peningkatan penyertaan dalam mogok itu sangat membimbangkan.

“Kami melihat betapa mogok ini mengganggu dan tindakan perindustrian yang lebih meluas mungkin akan memberi kesan yang lebih besar. Tiada siapa yang mahu ini terus berlaku. “Kami memahami perasaan jururawat yang kecewa dan bagaimana mereka sampai ke tahap ini iaitu paras gaji di bawah inflasi, krisis kos sara hidup, kekurangan kakitangan yang teruk dan peningkatan beban kerja mewujudkan keadaan yang tidak munasabah,” kata Cordery.
