“We uncovered a DVT clot in her leg, and now an infection, too,” her daughter, Kara, revealed in a Tuesday post. “The feeding tube can’t be put directly into her stomach until there’s clarity on the infection. Chemo and radiation is temporarily paused so we can figure this out but you better believe Jeana is insisting she only had a ‘fake fever’ and that she’s fine to continue with the surgery.
” The daughter proceeded to ask her followers to pray that Jeana’s infection “clears quickly,” that she will be able to have her G-tube surgery “imminently” so the Bravolebrity “doesn’t murder someone,” and that she will soon be able to resume her chemo and radiation treatment.on her mom’s health earlier this week.
“I think she’ll get cancer to bend to her will, like she does with everything else in life,” Kara, who is also based in Florida, told Us Weekly in an interview published Monday. “We’re choosing to stay in that mindset. ” As a result, Jeana has had to have her chemotherapy and radiation treatments paused, and won’t be able to undergo her feeding tube procedure.
Kara asked her followers for prayers that Jeana’s infection will “clear quickly,” so that she may have the surgery and resume her treatments. Her brother echoed her optimistic tone, adding that their mother has been “strong” throughout the ordeal.
“She’s got a good support network down there,” he continued, referring to her Southern California community. “But you know, it’s tough for everybody, and we’re just trying to make sure she stays on her program so she’s strong when this is done. ” The family announced Jeana’s diagnosis in a GoFundMe announcement over the weekend, requesting donations to support the Bravo alum while she undergoes treatment.

“A few months ago, while visiting Shane and me in Florida, my mom mentioned a painful spot on her tongue,” Kara explained in a message on the page. “She assumed a tooth had been rubbing against it and had even gone to the dentist multiple times to have the tooth filed down,” Kara continued, noting that Jeana went to get the spot tested and a biopsy confirmed it was “squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue.
” At the time, it was revealed that Keough had already undergone surgeries to remove the cancer and another to “remove lymph nodes. ” Doctors noticed, however, that the cancer had spread following her second procedure.
