PETALING JAYA: National doubles coaching director Rexy Mainaky remains optimistic despite Malaysia’s quarter-final exit in the Asian Mixed Team Championships.
But Rexy believes that the squad did not return home empty-handed as they managed to identify several aspects that needed to be improved, especially on the pairs compatibility. French Open winners Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah lost in the quarters but made up by winning in the semis but it was a double blow in the mixed doubles as Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei and Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing went down to India and China respectively.
