Nearly one year after 16-year-old Kylen Smith was shot and killed in Prattville, the reward for information that could help solve the case has increased.
Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is increasing their cash reward to $4,000, in addition to Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie Jr. and family’s $1,000, bringing the total reward to $5,000.
Investigators said a witness saw a male wearing all black and a hoodie walking away from the scene, and that evidence leads police to believe the suspect was on foot, not in a vehicle. Authorities believe this was not a random violent act, and that Smith may have known or been associated with the shooter.
If you have any information that could help police make an arrest in this case, authorities are asking you to please come forward.
