Forty years ago, the 22-year-old bride was home with her 3-month-old daughter when she was stabbed to death in northeast Harris County.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety is seeking information on the 1981 murder of 22-year-oldDPS is featuring Douglas' case in the Texas Ranger Unsolved Crimes Investigation Program. This program offers a way to generate new leads and bring awareness to different cases bi-monthly.

DPS said that in the months before and after Douglas' death, there were other unsolved home invasions in the area in which women who were home alone were attacked by someone armed with a knife. The reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for Douglas' death has increased to $6,000 if the tip is received before the next featured Texas Rangers cold case is announced.
