It utilizes bursts of compressed air or an elastic diaphragm to deliver the electrically charged aerosols, effectively fighting the flames. The device's concept originated as a way to enhance current fire management techniques. Researchers initially focused on determining the optimal chemical composition for the conductive aerosols, testing seven mixtures across two trials.
