The talented trio of Chers wow with their interpretation of the star at different stages of her life. The singer's voice and mannerisms have been at the forefront of many parodies over the years but the cast showcased their Cher respectfully.
A real highlight was O'Connell's performance of I Got You Babe with Sonny . Her version mirrored the original many Cher fans have watched over and over on YouTube. Every movement, note and even the chemistry between the pair recreated the magic of the original and was a joy to watch. Although this musical exceeds in many elements, it has to be said the narrative at times felt rushed. Jersey Boys succeed because the plot had depth while The Cher Show attempted to squeeze in the key moments of the star's life to make room for the hits.
Most fans, however, won't care because there are a lot of good songs from Just Like Jesse James to All or Nothing.Catch The Cher Show until Saturday.
