Tortilla has a prime location smack middle of the city centre in Cornmarket, making it perfect for those who work in the city centre, have stopped in for a bit of shopping or are passing through on a dander through the city. I ordered a burrito with the beef, black beans, cheese, salsa verde, sweet corn salsa, guacamole and lettuce and my sister got a bowl with the chicken with similar toppings and a dollop of sour cream.
If you sign up to their app, they also have happy hour from 5-8pm daily where drinks are £2.50 each and honestly, you could not be bad to that at all! Don’t get me wrong, I adore a big messy burrito from Boojum that is fully loaded and could have you loaded up for the whole day, but it’s nice to have the option to make it a lighter feat so you aren’t ready for a lie down after finishing.
The tortilla chips were light and crispy, the salsa was fresh and crunchy and while I am still yet to taste a queso better than Boojum’s, there was no denying Tortilla’s was tasty. I’d go back again today just for another round of them.
