This season does not quite live up to what the series has done before. | News24Arts

Part three of the Sello and Twala story is based around Beauty's baby shower. The two families have decided not to spend Christmas together amid the chaos of the previous two years. But they still have to come together to throw Beauty's shower. This causes many clashes between Valencia Twala and Dineo Sello as they differ in everything from the organising of the event to how the baby will be raised.
We also watch Beauty and Sbu deal with their own struggles of being parents when their own parents are so chaotic. Thando Thabethe and Mahlangu often had to carry the dramatic scenes in the series while everyone else had a chance to be comedic. This season, however, Mahlangu got to exercise his comedic muscles much more as he had scenes with Desmond Dube, Rami Chuene and even Succulent himself.
What helps to make the show unique is how South African it is. The show does not waste time trying to make every joke, every reference, and every moment relatable to a global audience; instead, it basks in its localness, making it even better. From the Phala Phala references to the baby shower decor, we have seen it in the news on influencers' Instagram feeds.
