In his first season as music director of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Robert Spano has been presiding over visually enhanced concerts.

From suggestions of formless gases and creation of heavenly bodies to illustrations of creatures mentioned one by one, to the pre-fall Garden of Eden, shifting projections were certainly arresting. Mostly spread in three groups across the stage, prepared by director Patrick Dupré Quigley, the Seraphic Fire singers supplied well-focused delivery.
The soloists, and to some extent the chorus, moved and interacted at various points, to stage direction by Keturah Stickann. The soloists mostly sang on low platforms, with music stands in front of them.
