Siyabonga Ngezana, Edmilson Dove and Happy Mashiane of Kaizer Chiefs celebrates a goal during the DStv Premiership match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium on February 25, 2023 in Johannesburg, South Africa.Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezena has candidly detailed his early season struggles as the centre-back seemingly has returned to a rich vein of form.
Ngezana featured in three of the victories, including a Man of the Match performance against Richards Bay. His recent heroics are a far cry from a horror showing against Mamelodi Sundowns at the start of the season in which the 25-year-old committed two errors that led to goals, prompting head coach Arthur Zwane to substitute the defender off after 45 minutes.
"Going back to the situation of mistakes, I think it's all about the mindset, also the coach believes in me a lot," Ngezana told journalists on Thursday.
