Menteri Kewangan Tengku Zafrul Aziz berkata, wabak Covid-19 memberi kesan ke atas tahap penarafan banyak negara, termasuk Malaysia.

Ia berkata, iklim ekonomi dunia yang lemah, ketidaktentuan dasar lebih menonjol, harga minyak yang tertekan dan rangsangan kewangan akan melemahkan kedudukan kewangan kerajaan dalam beberapa tahun akan datang. Negara dengan ekonomi terbuka seperti Malaysia katanya, telah bertindak balas dengan langkah ekonomi makro dan kewangan yang besar bagi mengurangkan kesan buruk wabak itu ke atas kesihatan dan ekonomi, justeru menyebabkan penarafan negara turut menurun.
