Some neighbors on San Francisco’s Capp Street are celebrating a series of new concrete barriers that have been installed on the Mission District thoroughfare.
Lulu, who did not want to disclose her last name, is a resident who has been organizing the effort to crack down on sex workers.
San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency recently installed other signs, but some were moving them out of the way, residents said. The Department of Public Works installed concrete barriers this past weekend. Emergency crews in San Francisco are raising concerns after the city replaced wooden barricades on Capp Street with concrete ones in an effort to curb sex work in the neighborhood.
