The council says it wants 'to make sure everything is right'
Residents in North Northamptonshire are being asked to submit their views on designated stopping places for the traveller community. North Northamptonshire Council launched a consultation on April 11, ahead of drafting its Gypsy and Traveller Local Plan.
The Gypsy and Traveller Local Plan will govern the scope of NNC's accomodation of travellers in the area and the criteria for planning application for traveller's sites. When finalised, the Plan will also form part of the Development Plan for North Northamptonshire. Cllr David Brackenbury, the council’s Executive Member for Growth and Regeneration, said: “The purpose of the consultation is to gather the views of the public and stakeholders on the key issues to be addressed by the final Plan and on the scope and content of the Plan.
