In preceding years, DPW sweepers have collected over 2,000 tons of litter and pollutants while traversing more than 31,095 miles throughout the district. DPW will also conduct sweeping operations in neighborhoods where parking is restricted during sweeping hours. Additionally, DPW will sweep neighborhoods without parking restrictions, as well as sections of arterial roadways where curbsides are available. To remind motorists of the parking restrictions, DPW will issue warnings between March 3rd and March 14th to vehicles parked during the designated sweeping periods.
