Residents have described feeling terrified as fire safety wardens have descended on an apartment complex at Lancefield Quay.

Residents told Glasgow Live they were informed the fire wardens would be arriving but had wanted to see the contents of the report before that happened.The 42-year-old said: "There’s been issues going on for over two years so I’m not quite sure why there’s a sudden urgency. Another resident who has lived at Lancefield Quay for thirteen years said: "We know there’s a cladding issue and it’s terrifying."The Scottish Government refused to say how much the patrols are costing. Their action comes six years after the Grenfell tragedy which saw 72 people lose their lives following a blaze at a 24-storey tower block in London.
