But were these determinations accurate enough to ever fully be trustworthy? Trusting an AI lie detector would require a far better-than-average success rate for that to happen, asDespite the technology's shortcomings, such a tool could serve an important function, given the proliferation of disinformation on the internet, a trend that is being accelerated with the use of AI.
