Puget Sound Fire and several other agencies responded to a rescue call after receiving reports that two kids were thrown into the Duwamish River Tuesday evening.PSF said they sent multiple boats into the water and also noted that firefighters in kayaks searched along the Duwamish River to see if they could locate anyone.
"We have to treat any incident like it is true," said Puget Sound Fire Public Information Officer Division Chief Pat Pawlak. "So we're doing the same searches whether we knew that there are people in the water or they think there are people in the water. We're gonna do the same type of searches. We want to make sure that we're thorough.
While officials never confirmed that this was a swatting incident, they never ruled out the possibility when speaking to KOMO News Reporter Ryan Simms.
