Democrat Jana Lynne Sanchez has conceded the race in a special congressional election in Texas. Republicans Susan Wright and Jake Ellzey advance to a runoff.
CNN projected Wright would take the first spot in the runoff, but Ellzey and Democrat Jana Lynne Sanchez had been locked in a tight race for second.Sanchez conceded the race on Sunday, thanking volunteers, staff and supporters in a statement posted on social media."Democrats have come a long way toward competing in Texas but we still have a long way to go.
