Republicans and Democrats in the Senate are teaming up to oppose the Biden administration's actions cracking down on elementary and secondary school hunting and archery programs.

"Unfortunately, and contrary to Congressional intent, the Department of Education has misinterpreted the language to exclude certain educational activities from receiving federal resources," Cornyn and 17 other lawmakers wrote to Cardona. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, sent two letters on Tuesday, the first one to Education Secretary Miguel Cardona and the second one was addressed to leaders on the Senate Appropriations Committee.in July that the Education Department shared federal guidance to hunting education groups highlighting that hunting and archery programs in schools would be stripped of funding.
