Republican delegates will nominate one candidate to send September’s 2nd Congressional District special primary election, while seven candidates will be sent home.

Four candidates have a lifeline beyond Saturday’s delegate vote as they attempt to petition their way onto the ballot for September’s primary election. They have until July 5 to turn in 7,000 signatures of Republican voters from Utah’s 2nd District to qualify.
