Senator Mike Braun tweeted a video of himself saying that Trump didn't ask foreign leaders to investigate the Bidens, despite Trump publicly calling on Ukraine and China to investigate them in October.

A reporter asked Braun, a Republican from Indiana, if he believed that it was OK for a president to ask a foreign leader to investigate a political rival, after the first day of Trump's impeachment trial."So, you're saying that it's OK for a president to ask a foreign leader to investigate a political rival and withhold foreign aid to coerce him into doing so?" the reporter asked.

Braun responded that he didn't believe it was appropriate, but also that Trump didn't ask foreign leaders to investigate the Bidens."No, I'm not saying that it's OK. I'm not saying that it's appropriate. I'm saying that it didn't happen," he said.Despite Braun's claims, Trump publicly called on both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and China to investigate the Bidens in October.
