Republican Senate hopefuls took the stage in Milwaukee Tuesday night as the party continues its national convention and rally voters.
Ohio Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bernie Moreno speaks on stage on the second day of the Republican National Convention at the Fiserv Forum on July 16, 2024 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin. Candidates from a wide array of swing states delivered speeches to the crowd, giving them national exposure as they are trying to flip the Senate back to Republican control.
Many of the Senate hopefuls assailed the incumbents they are facing off against for supporting President Joe Biden’s agenda as they try to tie them to his unpopularity and recent slump in the polls. David McCormick, a Republican running for Senate in Pennsylvania, described his Democratic opponent Bob Casey as a “do-nothing, out of touch, liberal career politician.”
