Traffic and protests are expected as former President Donald Trump and other candidates head to the state GOP convention in Anaheim beginning Friday.
“We do expect to see people out expressing themselves, and most of that we would expect to take place near the Marriott and near what is called the Grand Plaza,” said Lyster, noting the city has ample experience hosting presidents and other big-name political figures.
Trump’s speech is sold out, but it will be live-streamed on the CAGOP’s Rumble account, an online video-sharing website.
